Use a data transfer task to transfer data from a source to a target. For example, you might use a data transfer task to transfer data from an on-premises database to a cloud data warehouse.
When you configure a data transfer task, you can augment the source data with data from up to five lookup sources. Based on the source connection that you use, you can also sort and filter the data before you load it to the target.
