Elastic runtime environments

An elastic runtime environment uses elastic scaling to provide a runtime environment option that optimizes resource management. Use an elastic runtime environment to handle fluctuating workload demands and manage workload costs.
An elastic runtime environment uses Kubernetes to run a Secure Agent and to process data on cluster nodes. Cluster nodes that process data can scale up or down based on workload demands from Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.
To create an elastic runtime environment, complete the following tasks:
  1. 1Verify that you have an AWS account with the correct permissions and that your organization administrator has the correct feature privileges in Administrator.
  2. 2Set up the AWS environment to create and configure the required AWS resources.
  3. 3Create the elastic runtime environment in Administrator.
  4. 4Deploy the elastic runtime environment on AWS.
  5. 5Optionally, upload flat files to an EFS file system.
To create an elastic runtime environment in a sub-organization, log in to the sub-organization and create the environment. A parent organization can't share an elastic runtime environment with a sub-organization.
Note: Effective in the July 2025 release, elastic runtime environments are available for preview. Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
