The October 2023 release of Business 360 Console includes the following important notices:
Preview initiated
Effective in the October 2023 release, the following functionalities are available for preview:
•Add dynamic fields to business entities. Dynamic fields are a set of attributes that can vary for different records in a business entity. For example, when a laptop record and a clothing record belong to the same business entity, both records can have different sets of attributes.
You can add dynamic fields to a business entity and configure survivorship for these fields. You can also add these fields to custom pages. Additionally, you can ingress and egress data that includes dynamic fields.
•Match and merge jobs now have an additional step that optimizes the number of record pair groups. If you have an approval workflow, this step results in fewer approval tasks.
•The internal schema of business entities includes updates. After you edit a business entity, if you are prompted to index the records, ensure that you index the records to apply the internal schema updates. If you decide to index the records later, the records continue to use the indexes based on the older schema.
• Include hierarchies as search filters. To filter records based on hierarchies, configure those hierarchies as searchable and include hierarchy filters to the search layout. Ensure that you index the records of all the searchable hierarchies by running process hierarchies jobs.
Note: Currently, Product 360 SaaS supports hierarchy filters, not other business applications.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
