Setting up business applications

Before you create any assets in Business 360 Console, set up your business applications. Without setting up your business application, don't upgrade it in Business 360 Console even if you are prompted to upgrade it.
Before you set up a business application, don't add any permission to the predefined projects on the Explore page. Also, ensure that you assign the Admin user role and a user group to users.
1Log in to Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.
2On the My Services page, click the business application that you want to set up.
    3Click Yes, Set Up Application.
It might take a few minutes for the setup to complete.
Note: While the business application is being set up, don't perform any task in Business 360 Console. If you perform any task in Business 360 Console before completing the business application setup, your organization might get corrupted.
After the setup is complete, you can perform any task in Business 360 Console.

Upgrading business applications

You can upgrade business applications to the latest version from the home page of Business 360 Console. If business applications are available for upgrade, a notification appears.
The following image shows the Home page with the upgrade notification:

To upgrade business applications, click Review and Upgrade > Upgrade Now.
Upgrades include enhancements to predefined MDM SaaS assets. Based on the new features and enhancements, Informatica updates existing predefined assets or adds new predefined assets. For example, when the name of the Title field for the Person business entity is modified to Business Title, you need to upgrade to see the updated field name.
When you run the upgrade, all the business applications are upgraded in parallel. These upgrades ensure that all the latest features and capabilities work well. The latest version of your organization is compatible with older versions of business applications, but Informatica recommends that organizations always use the latest version of business applications.
