Predefined user roles are a collection of predefined privileges that you can assign to users. The predefined user roles define the privileges for different types of assets and service features. You cannot edit, rename, delete, or customize predefined user roles.
Predefined Business 360 Console user roles
You can use the following predefined user roles for Business 360 Console users:
Admin
Provides full access to Business 360 Console. Allows users to perform solution upgrades.
Note: To provide users full access to Business 360 Console, assign users the Admin, Designer, and MDM Designer user roles. To allow users to perform only the configuration tasks in Business 360 Console, you can assign users the Admin role or both the Designer and MDM Designer roles.
Allows users to create reports in business applications.
Designer
Allows users to perform tasks in Business 360 Console that require integration with other services such as Data Integration and Data Quality.
Allows users to perform the following tasks in Business 360 Console:
- Create MDM SaaS assets except reference data assets.
- Define a data model and source systems.
- Define and monitor jobs, such as ingress and egress.
- Configure data quality, match and merge, survivorship, business events, and global settings.
- Export and import assets when the user also has the MDM Designer role.
Allows users to perform the following tasks in other services:
- Create data quality rules which can be used to add advanced rule associations in Business 360 Console.
- Create mappings, connections, and Secure Agents in Data Integration. These mappings can be used in taskflows associated with ingress and egress jobs in Business 360 Console.
- Create reports.
MDM Designer
Allows users to perform the following tasks in Business 360 Console:
- Create MDM SaaS assets.
- Define a data model and source systems.
- Define and monitor jobs, such as ingress and egress.
- Configure data quality, match and merge, survivorship, business events, and global settings.
- Export and import assets when the user also has the Designer role.
Business 360 Process Executor
Required role for users with custom user roles to perform tasks in Business 360 Console and business applications. Allows users to update business entities in Business 360 Console.
Allows users to perform the following tasks in business applications:
- Save records and custom reports.
- View, create, update, and delete hierarchies.
- Import records, related records, and hierarchy data.
- Access the Workflow Inbox page.
Job Executor
Allows users to run ingress and egress jobs in Business 360 Console.
Note: This role is not required to run jobs that business applications run when users perform tasks, such as file import.
Note: Before you provision an organization, ensure that you assign the Admin user role and a user group to users.
Predefined Customer 360 user roles
You can use the following predefined user role for the Customer 360 users:
Customer 360 Analyst
Users with the Customer 360 Analyst role can perform the following tasks in Customer 360:
- Create, edit, and delete records. When a Customer 360 Analyst creates or edits a record, the changes trigger a review process that requires approval from a Customer 360 Manager.
- Create reports.
Customer 360 Manager
Users with the Customer 360 Manager role can perform the following tasks in Customer 360:
- Review and approve or reject customer records.
- Create, edit, and delete records without approval.
- Create reports.
Customer 360 Data Steward
Users with the Customer 360 Data Steward role can perform the following tasks in Customer 360:
- Create, edit, and delete records without approval.
- Run jobs.
- Review and approve customer records.
- Create reports.
MDM Business User
Users with the MDM Business User role can perform the following tasks in Customer 360:
- View records in Customer 360. They can't create or edit records in Customer 360.
- Create reports.
Predefined Product 360 user roles
You can use the following predefined user roles for the Product 360 users:
Product 360 Read-Only
Users with the Product 360 Read-Only role can view records in Product 360. They can't create or edit records in Product 360.
Product 360 Manager
Users with the Product 360 Manager role can perform the following tasks in Product 360:
- Review and approve records.
- Create, edit, and delete records without approval.
- Create reports.
Predefined Supplier 360 user roles
You can use the following predefined user roles for the Supplier 360 users:
Supplier 360 Read Only
Users with the Supplier 360 Read Only role can view records in Supplier 360. They can't create or edit records in Supplier 360.
Supplier 360 Analyst
Users with the Supplier 360 Analyst role can perform the following tasks in Supplier 360:
- Create, edit, and delete records in Supplier 360. When a Supplier 360 Analyst creates or edits a record, the changes trigger a review process that requires approval from a Supplier 360 manager.
- Create reports.
Supplier 360 Data Steward
Users with the Supplier 360 Data Steward role can perform the following tasks in Supplier 360:
- Create, edit, and delete records without approval.
- Run jobs.
- Review and approve records.
- Match, merge, and unmerge records
- Create reports.
Supplier 360 Task Admin
Users with the Supplier 360 Task Admin role can claim, release, and act on evaluation tasks based on business event configurations. They can create, read, edit, and delete records. They have the originator and approver privileges.
Supplier 360 Risk Manager
Users with the Supplier 360 Risk Manager role can claim, release, and act on risk evaluation tasks based on business event configurations. They can create, read, edit, and delete records. They have the originator and approver privileges.
Supplier 360 Contract Manager
Users with the Supplier 360 Contract Manager role can claim, release, and act on contract evaluation tasks based on business event configurations. They can create, read, edit, and delete records. They have the originator and approver privileges.
Supplier 360 Credit Manager
Users with the Supplier 360 Credit Manager role can claim, release, and act on credit evaluation tasks based on business event configurations. They can create, read, edit, and delete records. They have the originator and approver privileges.
Supplier 360 Commodity Manager
Users with the Supplier 360 Commodity Manager role can claim, release, and act on commodity evaluation tasks based on business event configurations. They can create, read, edit, and delete records. They have the originator and approver privileges.
Note: By default, the predefined user roles don't have privileges to create or edit reports. You need to provide the necessary asset privileges for these user roles in the Administrator service to create or edit reports.
