Guidelines for configuring CLAIRE-based classification of records
Consider the following guidelines to configure CLAIRE-based classification of records:
•Ensure that the hierarchy model that you specify has the searchable property enabled. You can't use a hierarchy model that has searchable property disabled with the CLAIRE-Based Enrichment plugin.
•Ensure that the hierarchy model that you specify doesn't contain cyclic relationships. For example, if the hierarchy model has a relationship from Category to Item and another relationship from Item to Category, the hierarchy model contains a cyclic relationship. You can't use such hierarchy models with the CLAIRE-Based Enrichment plugin.
•When you configure a rule association for CLAIRE-based classification of records, ensure that the business entity in the rule association matches the business entity specified in the data enhancement rule. For example, if the data enhancement rule is configured for the Item business entity, configure the rule association for the Item business entity and not for the Category business entity.
•When you map input fields in a rule association for CLAIRE-based classification, map the Business ID system field to the input field.
•When you map an output field in a rule association for CLAIRE-based classification, ensure that the output field is mapped to the relationship type specified in the data enhancement rule. For example, if the data enhancement rule specifies p360_item_to_p360_category as the relationship type, map the output field to p360_item_to_p360_category and not to another relationship type.
•When you map the output field in a rule association for CLAIRE-based classification, ensure that the output field is mapped to the correct business entity in the relationship type. For example, if the data enhancement rule specifies p360_item_to_p360_category as the relationship type, map the output field to the Category business entity in the relationship type. In this example, because CLAIRE is expected to recommend Category records for Item records, the output field must be mapped to the Category business entity in the relationship type.
•Ensure that you add only one rule association for CLAIRE-based classification in an objective configured with CLAIRE as the trigger.
Note:
Effective in the April 2026 release, the ability to configure CLAIRE-based classification of records is available for preview.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
