Configuring declarative match rules

You configure declarative match rules to determine records that are duplicates and to merge them.
You can define a declarative match rule for exact or fuzzy matching. An exact rule matches records that have identical values in match fields. A fuzzy rule matches similar records based on probabilistic match determinations that consider likely variations in data patterns, such as misspellings, transpositions, omissions, and phonetic variations. The rules that you configure depend on the characteristics of the data, and the specific match and merge requirements.
