Merge threshold

Applicable to declarative rules with the fuzzy match strategy. Merge thresholds are based on match score ranges of records that undergo matching. You configure merge thresholds for the merge strategy that you select for a declarative rule. When the system identifies records that meet the corresponding merge threshold, the merge strategy that you configure is applied. A higher merge threshold value indicates a higher strength of the merge strategy that you choose.
The following table describes the merge thresholds:
Merge Threshold
Description
Automated Merge
Determines whether the record pairs can merge automatically. Set the range with the lower limit set to a high match score. To ensure high accuracy, set a smaller range.
When the match scores fall within the range set for automated merge, the matching record pairs merge automatically.
Manual Merge
Determines whether the record pairs can be queued for manual merge. Set a match score range for identifying record pairs that need a manual review before being merged. The range can be wider than the range for automated merge.
When the match scores fall within the range set for manual merge, the matching record pairs are queued for manual merge.
Skip Merge
Determines whether the record pairs can be skipped from merging and are not matched against each other. Set a match score range for identifying record pairs that need to be skipped.
When the match scores fall within the range set for skipping merge, the records in the pairs are not matched against each other.
