Defining generate search indexes or match keys job

You can define a job that indexes records for search requests or generates match keys for the match process. You can generate match keys for both source and master records in a business entity. Run this job after you update the search configuration or match model configuration of a business entity.

When you update the match model configurations and run the match and merge job, the match process uses the existing match keys. To generate updated match keys for the merged records and the records that are in the process of merge, run the generate search indexes or match keys job.

Effective in the November 2023 release, the ability to generate indexes for reportable fields in a business entity is available for preview. After you set the fields in a business entity as reportable and update the business entity, run this job to generate report indexes for the business entity records. Otherwise, the report data continues to use outdated report configuration.

Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
