Modernization process

Before you begin modernizing objects in the MDM Hub, ensure that you understand how the modernization process works.
The modernization process involves defining a modernization project, mapping fields in modernization mapping files, and then modernizing the MDM Hub objects mapped in those mapping files. To define a modernization project, you need MDM Hub configuration files, such as Change List XML, user account details, and user role mappings. After uploading these configuration files, you can proceed to map fields in the modernization mapping files. The modernization mapping files are created based on the objects in the MDM Hub configuration files and business entity fields in MDM SaaS. You can map the fields in the mapping files either manually or automatically using smart mapping. Then, you can start modernizing the MDM Hub objects and migrate them to MDM SaaS.
