Securities 360 includes rule specification for identifier types, such as ISIN, CUSIP, and SEDOL ID. Based on the identifier type, you can apply the rule specification. The rule specification validates whether the identifier value has a valid format.
Rule specification assets
A rule specification is a data quality asset that represents the data requirements of a business rule in logical form. Securities 360 uses rule specifications to define the conditions that the input data must satisfy. Also, the rule specifications define the actions to take when input values satisfy the conditions.

Validates the format of a Committee on Uniform Securities Identification Procedures (CUSIP) ID. The rule validates the values based on the following conditions:
- Length of the input is 9.
- First 8 characters are alphanumeric.
- Character 9 is numeric.
ISIN Rule
Validates the format of an International Securities Identification Number (ISIN). The rule validates the values based on the following conditions:
- Length of the input is 12.
- First 2 characters are alphabets.
- Characters 3 to 11 are alphanumeric.
- Character 12 is numeric.
SEDOL Rule
Validates the format of a Stock Exchange Daily Official List (SEDOL) ID. The rule validates the values based on the following conditions:
