New features and enhancements

The August 2024 release of CLAIRE GPT includes the following new features and enhancements.

Enable CLAIRE Generative AI Services

Administrators can now authorize users in their organization to utilize Informatica's CLAIRE services by enabling CLAIRE generative AI services in Administrator. Administrators can also provide consent to use CLAIRE services in CLAIRE GPT. After you provide consent, tasks run in the background to make CLAIRE GPT available for your organization, and this could take several minutes to complete. You can continue to use other services during this time. Non-administrative users must contact administrators to get consent to use CLAIRE services.
By default, CLAIRE generative AI services are enabled for existing CLAIRE GPT users. You can disable them for your organization at any time on the Organization page under CLAIRE Preferences in Administrator.
CLAIRE services from Informatica operate with a level of autonomy to provide information, suggestions, or other outputs in response to natural language queries from users. CLAIRE services are designed to facilitate the use of applicable cloud services by users but might generate errors. Your organization is responsible for reviewing the outputs to ensure they are appropriate for your business needs.

Initiate CLAIRE GPT upgrade

You can upgrade your organization to the latest version of CLAIRE GPT after Informatica makes the version available on the Point of Deployment (POD) that you connect to.
Note: To initiate the upgrade, you must be the organization administrator with the Manage Upgrade privilege and have the CLAIRE GPT User role. Ensure that there are no pending jobs before you start the upgrade. The upgrade doesn’t start if there are pending jobs.
If you don't initiate the upgrade, Informatica upgrades your organization three weeks after the version is made available on the POD.
When an upgrade is available, a notification banner appears in CLAIRE GPT. Click the banner to open a confirmation dialog box. You can click the links on the confirmation dialog box to view information on the new features and enhancements that the latest version contains. Click Upgrade Now to upgrade.

Critical data elements appear first in responses

When you perform data discovery to find assets in the catalog, critical data elements appear first in the response. When you search and explore the metadata of assets or perform data exploration, critical data elements appear first in the response, followed by other data elements sorted by precedence.
The following image shows a data exploration prompt where critical data elements such as FIRST NAME, GENDER, and CUSTOMERID appear first in the response followed by other data elements sorted by precedence:
