The October 2025 release of Cloud Data Integration for PowerCenter (CDI-PC) includes the following new features and enhancements.
Convert non-native Data Engineering Integration assets to Data Integration
You can assess Model repositories to evaluate the feasibility of converting Data Engineering Integration assets that run on a non-native environment to the cloud environment. Additionally, you can convert these assets into Data Integration assets and bulk-update the metadata of the converted assets to ensure they function seamlessly in the cloud environment.
For more information, see PowerCenter Modernization.
Convert Data Engineering Integration workflow assets
In addition to mapping assets, you can now convert Data Engineering Integration workflow assets to the cloud. After you assess a Model repository and run conversion tasks, you can monitor the conversion status of the workflow assets on the repository dashboard.
Integrate CDI-PC domain with Hadoop environment
You can integrate a CDI-PC domain with Hadoop clusters using Data Engineering Integration. Download the installers and the Hadoop packages from the CDI-PC service homevpage and copy the Hadoop packages to the server installer's source directory. When you run the CDI-PC installer to install Data Engineering Integration (Modernization), the Data Integration Service automatically installs Hadoop binaries to connect the CDI-PC domain with the Hadoop environment. You can import the cluster configuration into the domain, create a Hadoop connection, and set up other connections to run mappings within the Hadoop environment.
For more information, see the CDI-PC Installation Guide.
Repoint Data Engineering Integration assets
You can now create Repoint configurations and use them in Model repository assessment tasks. The repoint configurations enables you to evaluate the feasibility of repointing Data Engineering Integration assets to different endpoints on the cloud.
You can create Connection Map configurations and use them in Workflow Conversion tasks to convert and repoint Data Engineering Integration assets to different endpoints on the cloud.
