Bulk Metadata Update

Update the metadata of multiple assets in a single operation.
After you convert and migrate the PowerCenter or Data Engineering Integration assets to Data Integration, you can update the metadata of the assets to ensure that the assets function seamlessly in the cloud environment. You can create bulk update tasks to update the metadata of mapping and taskflow asset types.
The bulk update process also generates a comprehensive report that includes a list of assets that are submitted for update and the metadata update status.

Mapping asset metadata

The following table describes the metadata types and the corresponding details you can update using a bulk update task:
Metadata Type
Details
Field details
Field name, native type, precision, scale, platform type, default value, and expression.
Advanced properties
Value of mapping properties.
Connection details
Object name, multiple matches, filter, truncate, lookup condition, and data driven condition.
In-out parameters
Description, data type, precision, scale, expression variable, default value, retention policy, and aggregation type.
Mapping SQL queries
SQL queries of the assets.

Taskflow asset metadata

The following table describes the task types and the corresponding details you can update using a bulk update task:
Task Type
