Enable a rule specification as an API on the Explore page in Data Quality. You can then import the API-enabled rule in order to design an API endpoint in API Center.
To enable a rule specification as an API, perform the following tasks on the Explore page:
1Click the Actions button on rule specification and select Enable for APIs.
The Enable for APIs dialog box appears.
2Enter a name for the API and click Enable. The name can contain upto 100 characters.
You’ve sent a request for API enablement of the rule specification asset. You’ll be notified about the status of the enablement request.
To design an endpoint in API Center, import the rule specification asset that you enabled. After you design an API endpoint, publish the endpoint. You can view your published endpoint in the Published APIs tab in the API Console page of API Center. After you publish the API endpoint, you can integrate the rule specification capabilities with external applications.
For more information about designing API endpoints with the API-enabled rule specification assets, see REST API assets.
For more information about enabling a mapplet that contains a rule specification asset transformation as an API, see Enabling a mapplet as an API topic in the Data IntegrationComponents help module.
