Enabling a rule specification as an API

Enable a rule specification as an API on the Explore page and import the API-enabled rules while you design an API endpoint in API Center.
To enable a rule specification as an API, make sure that your Data Governance and Catalog service is upgraded to the July 2025 release.
To enable a rule specification as an API, perform the following tasks on the Explore page:
1Click the Actions button on any rule specification and select Enable for APIs.
The Enable for APIs dialog box appears.
2Enter a name for the API and click Enable. The name can contain upto 100 characters.
You’ve sent a request for the API enablement of the rule specification asset. You’ll be notified about the status of the enablement request.
To design an endpoint in API Center, import the rule specification asset that you enabled. After you design an API endpoint, publish the endpoint. You can view your published endpoint in the Published APIs tab in the API Console page of API Center. After you publish the API endpoint, you can integrate the rule specification capabilities with external applications.
