You can import data, such as business entity records, relationship records, and hierarchies, from a CSV file into Product 360 SaaS. The import process parses the data in the CSV file and maps the columns of the CSV file to the fields of the selected business entity or relationship.
You can import source records, overwrite all the field values of existing records, update field values and delete field group entries in record sections, or delete source records. You can include business IDs in the CSV file when you import source records. Additionally, you can delete relationships and hierarchies in bulk through file import.
For example, you can import a new person record, overwrite all the field values of an existing record, update only the home address of an existing record, or delete the billing address of an existing record.
A record section can include all the root fields, fields in a field group, or fields in a nested field group.
You can also choose to update only fields that contain values in the CSV file without removing other field values in the records.
Effective in the April 2026 release, the ability to update only fields that contain values in the CSV file, without removing other field values, is available for preview.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.
