Custom LDAP Types
You can create a custom LDAP type that defines an LDAP directory service from which to import user accounts and user groups.
You might create a custom LDAP type to enable a domain to import users from an LDAP directory service that Informatica does not support by default. When you create a custom LDAP type, you can specify the attributes to import from the LDAP directory service.
You can also create a custom LDAP type if you want to change one or more mappings between domain user attributes and the default attributes in an LDAP directory service that Informatica supports. For example, you might create a custom LDAP type if you want to change the unique ID (UID) attribute in the domain to use the value contained in the mail attribute in Microsoft Active Directory.
You use the infacmd isp addCustomLDAPType command to create a custom LDAP type. After you create a custom LDAP type, you use the Administrator tool or the infacmd isp addLDAPConnectivity to create an LDAP configuration to import users from the LDAP directory service into a security domain.
For more information about using the infacmd isp commands, see the "infacmd isp Command Reference" chapter in the Informatica Command Reference.
