Alerts and Notifications

The Analyst tool generates notifications when changes are made to Glossary assets and business initiatives with which you are associated. Information such as status updates is sent as notifications to you. You do not receive notifications for changes that you initiate but other content managers do.
The Analyst tool displays notifications in the header that appears at the top of the user interface. When you receive an alert on the Analyst tool header, you can view the notifications in the Notification panel. You can view the Notification panel in every workspace.
The Analyst tool generates notifications in the following scenarios:
The Analyst tool also sends the same notifications via email. To receive notifications over email, an administrator must enable and configure the Email Service in the Administrator tool.

View Notifications

You can view the notifications that you received, delete notifications, mark notifications as read, or refresh the list to view the latest notifications.
An alert on the Analyst tool header indicates that you have a notification.
To view the notifications, from the Manage menu, select Notifications. Alternatively, you can click the notification in the Analyst tool header. You can view notification details such as the name of the sender, description of the notification, and the date and time when you received the notification.

Manage Notification Preferences

By default, the Analyst tool sends you notifications in the Analyst tool header and via email. Based on your preference, you can change the delivery of notifications.
In the Analyst tool header, open Glossary Settings under Manage to configure your notification preference.
