Content Formatting
You can format content in rich text when you configure asset properties such as Description, Usage Context, and Example. You can also configure custom properties to contain rich text.
You can format the text in the following ways:
- •Make the text bold, italicized, or underlined.
- •Change the font and font color.
- •Add an ordered or unordered list.
- •Use predefined styles.
- •Insert external links to text.
- •Insert internal links to other Glossary assets.
- •Preserve formatting while pasting content from any other document.
You can use the following HTML tags when you format content.

The Analyst tool does not recognize other HTML tags. If the content that you paste into the Analyst tool properties contain other HTML tags, the tags are not formatted and appear as plain text.
Click the pencil icon below the property to show the options to format the text.
Business Glossary Desktop and Metadata Manager display rich text content without formatting. Business Glossary Desktop displays multiple paragraphs only if you created new lines using the <br> tag.
