Release Tasks
This section describes release tasks in version 10.4.1. Release tasks are tasks that you must perform after you upgrade to version 10.4.1.
PowerExchange Adapters for Informatica
This section describes the release tasks for PowerExchange adapters in version 10.4.1.
PowerExchange for Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1
If you upgrade from versions earlier than 10.2.2 to version 10.4.1 and the existing mappings were configured to create a header row in the target, after upgrade when you run the existing mappings, headers are not created in the target.
To generate the headers, you can import the target object again, enable the Import column names from the first line option, and run the mapping again.
PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver
After you upgrade from versions earlier than 10.4.0 to version 10.4.1, you cannot use non-unicode transports for PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver.
Informatica dropped support for non-unicode transports in version 10.4.0.
In 10.4.0 and later versions, Informatica ships the transports for SAP unicode versions ECC 5.0 and later in the following folders:
- •Unicode cofiles: Informatica installer zip file/saptrans/mySAP/cofiles
- •Unicode data files: Informatica installer zip file/saptrans/mySAP/data
For more information, see the PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver 10.4.1 Transport Versions Installation Notice.
PowerExchange for Snowflake
If you upgrade from a previous release to version 10.4.1, you must set the Additional JDBC URL Parameters connection property as jdbc_query_result_format=json when you use an AIX machine.
PowerExchange Adapters for PowerCenter
This section describes the release tasks for PowerExchange adapters in version 10.4.1.
PowerExchange for HANA
After you upgrade from versions earlier than 10.4.0 to version 10.4.1, you need a PowerExchange for HANA license to read data from SAP HANA sources and write data to SAP HANA targets.
You must have the SAP HANA license enabled and set the ODBC subtype property to SAP HANA for sessions to run successfully after the upgrade.
For more information, see the Informatica 10.4.1 PowerExchange for HANA User Guide for PowerCenter.
PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver
If you upgrade from versions earlier than 10.4.0 to version 10.4.1, PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver includes the following updates:
- •You cannot use non-unicode transports. Informatica dropped support for non-unicode transports in version 10.4.0.
In 10.4.0 and later versions, Informatica ships the transports for SAP unicode versions ECC 5.0 and later in the following folders:

PowerExchange for Snowflake
If you upgrade from a previous release to version 10.4.1, PowerExchange for Snowflake includes the following updates:
- •You must set the Additional JDBC URL Parameters connection property as jdbc_query_result_format=json when you use an AIX machine.
- •You must specify the Java heap space memory in the PowerCenter Integration Service properties to avoid failures of tasks that read data from Snowflake. This task applies to PowerExchange for Snowflake mappings and mapping tasks that read data from Snowflake.
If you already configured a heap size value that is higher than 256 MB in the JVM options, do not change it.
Perform the following steps to configure the JVM memory:
- 1. In the Administrator Console, navigate to the PowerCenter Integration Service for which you want to change the Java heap size.
- 2. Click the Processes tab.
- 3. Click Custom Properties. The Edit Custom Properties dialog box appears.
- 4. Click New to add a new custom property.
- 5. Edit the JVMOption1 property, and enter -Xmx256m.
- 6. Click Save.
- 7. Restart the PowerCenter Integration Service.
