Job Status Properties
You can view the status for each job.
You can view the following job status properties:
- Name
- Name of the job.
- Type
Type of job. You can filter by a particular job type to view the status of a job. Select Custom to filter by multiple job types. You can choose the following options :
- - Preview
- - Mapping
- - Reference Table
- - Enterprise Discovery Profile
- - Profile Model
- - Profile
- - Scorecard
- State
State of the job. You can filter by a particular job state to view the progress of a job. Select Custom to filter by multiple job states. You can choose to view the following states:
- - Running. The Analyst Service is running the job.
- - Completed. The Analyst Service successfully completes the job.
- - Failed. The Analyst Service encounters a fatal error while processing the job.
- - Aborted. The Analyst Service aborted the job.
- - Canceled. You chose to cancel a running job.
- - Queued. The Analyst Service has queued the job for processing.
- - Unknown. The Analyst Service cannot determine the state of a job.
- Job ID
- Unique identifier for the job.
- Started By
- Name of the user who started the job.
- Start Time
Start time of the job. You can filter by a particular start time. Select Custom to filter by date and time range. You can choose to view one of the following options for start times:
- - Last 30 minutes
- - Last 4 hours
- - Last 1 day
- - Last 1 week
- Elapsed Time
The amount of time that the job ran. Select Custom to filter by date and time range.
- End Time
The time that the job ended. You can filter by a particular end time. Select Custom to filter by date and time range. You can choose the following options for end time:
- - Last 30 minutes
- - Last 4 hours
- - Last 1 day
- - Last 1 week
- User Security Domain
Security domain for the user name. Security domain can be Native, LDAP, or the Kerberos domain.
Monitor Jobs
You can monitor the status of jobs related to a data preview or a profile drill down.
You can perform the following tasks when you monitor jobs:
- Search for a job.
- Search for a job by a job status property or through a search filter. After you apply a search filter, you can clear the filter.
- To search by a job status property, enter a job status property in the search field.
- To search by applying filters, click the filter menu on a job status property. Optionally, enter a custom filter for the Start Time and Elapsed Time properties.
- To clear search filters, click the Reset Filters icon.
- View the context of a job.
- View a job in the context of other jobs that started around the same time as the selected job.
- To view the context of a job, from the Actions menu, select View Context. The Analyst tool displays a list of jobs that started around the same time as the selected job.
- Refresh the list of jobs.
- To refresh the list of jobs, from the Actions menu, select Refresh.
- Request notifications for new jobs.
- To request notifications for new jobs, from the Actions menu, select New Job Notifications.
- Cancel a job.
You can cancel a running job. You might want to cancel a job that hangs or that is taking an excessive amount of time to complete.
- To cancel a job, from the Actions menu, click Cancel Selected Job.
- View job log events.
- View log events for a selected job in a text file.
- To view log events for a job, from the Actions menu, click View Logs for Selected Object. The Analyst tool creates a text file that contains the logs. You can open or download the text file to view the logs.
