Asset Revision
Content managers might need to update glossary asset properties based on the needs of the organization. You can revise assets that are in the published phase or rejected phase.
When content managers revise a published or rejected glossary asset, the Analyst tool creates a new version of the asset. The updated version of the asset goes through a lifecycle before the data steward publishes the changes. Glossary consumers can see the current version of the asset until the data steward publishes the updated version. The Analyst tool records revisions in the Activity section of the asset.
Revising an Asset
Content managers create a revision of published or rejected assets to update information in the properties.
1. Click Open to open the Library workspace.
2. In the Library Navigator, click Assets.
3. Click the asset that you want to revise.
The Analyst tool displays the business term, category, or policy in the Glossary workspace.
4. In the Actions menu, click Create a Revision..
A confirmation dialog box appears.
5. Confirm that you want to create a revision.
