Creating a Profile to Perform Data Domain Discovery in Informatica Analyst

You need to create at least one data domain before you can create a profile to perform data domain discovery in the Analyst tool. The profile can discover both column name and column data that match predefined data domains.
    1. In the Navigator, select the project that contains the data object that you want to create a profile for.
    2. In the Contents panel, right-click the data object and select New > Profile.
    The New Profile wizard appears.
    3. Select either Data domain discovery or Column profiling and Data domain discovery based on whether you want to run a column profile along with data domain discovery.
    4. Click Next.
The Analyst tool displays the data object that you selected, its properties, and data preview.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Change the default name and description of the profile, if required. You can also change the folder location where you want to save the profile.
    7. Click Next.
    8. Select the columns you want to run data domain discovery on and the data domains you want to match the columns with.
    9. Choose whether you want to run data domain discovery on column data, column name, or both and specify the minimum conformance percentage.
    10. In the Sampling Options panel, configure the sampling options.
    11. If you selected Column profiling and Data domain discovery as the profile option, configure the column profiling options, including the filter options.
