A rule specification represents the data requirements of a business rule in logical form. You define a rule specification in the Design workspace of Informatica Analyst. When you compile a rule specification, you create a mapplet in the Model repository. An Informatica Developer user can add the mapplet to a mapping and verify that a data set conforms to the business rule.
