View Admin Activity Logs
Axon generates activity logs for an Admin or SuperAdmin user and displays the logs on the Admin Activity Logs page. The activities include all the actions that an Admin or SuperAdmin user performs on the Admin Panel. You can also view the logs when a SuperAdmin user deletes a single object from the object page or bulk deletes objects from the Unison search. You must be an Admin or SuperAdmin user to view the activity logs. An Admin user can view all the logs only for the changes that an Admin user performs. An SuperAdmin user can view all the logs for the changes that Admin and SuperAdmin users perform.
The activity logs display the following information:
- Id
- The serial number for the activity log.
- Setting
- Settings that were changed by the Admin or SuperAdmin user. Examples include Role Permissions, Default Workflows, and Dropdown Configuration.
- Component
- The component within a setting that the Admin or SuperAdmin user has changed. For example, in the System Settings setting, Dashboard is a component.
- User
- The name and email address of the Admin or SuperAdmin user who made the changes.
- Change Type
- The type of change that an Admin or SuperAdmin user has made. The values include Create, Update, Delete, and Other Actions. The Create type includes actions, such as creating roles and adding a default workflow. The Update type includes actions, such as updating display settings and changing default change request settings. The Delete type includes actions, such as deleting objects and role permissions. The Other Actions type includes downloading logs, running glossary rules engine, and running the LDAP synchronization.
- Timestamp
- The date and time at which an Admin or SuperAdmin user made the changes. The timestamp is displayed in the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) format.
- Details
- The details of the change made by an Admin or SuperAdmin user. For example, if an Admin or SuperAdmin user changes a user permission from "View" to "Edit," you can view the previous and changed values when you click the Details link.
To view a specific activity log, you can search for a keyword or apply filters in the search area. For example, if you want to see the updates made for the dropdown configuration, choose Dropdown Configuration from the list of configuration, select the Update change type, and click Search.
You can export the logs to a CSV format. For example, if you want to view a consolidated report of all activities within a time period, choose the From Date and To Date values, and click Search. After the logs appear, click the Settings icon. Click Export to CSV to export and download the logs to a CSV file. In the CSV file, you cannot view the previous values for workflow diagrams, styles, and logos.
