Revoke Access to a Data Collection
You can revoke access to a data collection if you determine that the data consumer no longer requires access to the data. If you are the data owner of a data collection or the Data Marketplace administrator, you can request for a data collection to be revoked. The technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace can then revoke the data consumer's access to the data collection.
You must have one of the following user profiles to perform this task:
- •Data owner of the data collection
- •Data Marketplace Administrator
1. Launch Data Marketplace and go to the Data I Own tab.
2. Go to the Access History tab to view the data collections for which consumers have requested access.
3. Hover the mouse over the icon. If you are the data owner, click Request Revoke.
If the data owner is also the technical owner for the data collection or the default technical user for the Data Marketplace, click Revoke Access.
The Revoke Access Request dialog box appears.
4. In the Comments field, enter a comment about the revoke request.
5. Click Revoke.
The technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace can now remove the data consumer's access to the data collection.
After the access is revoked, the technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace must perform the following steps:
- 1. Launch Data Marketplace and go to the Data I Own tab.
- 2. Go to the Access History tab to view the data collections for which consumers have access.
- 3. Hover the mouse over and click Pending Revoke.
The Pending Revoke Access Request dialog box appears.
- 4. In the Comments field, enter a comment about the access revocation.
- 5. Click Pending Revoke.
The access revocation is complete.
