Withdraw Access to a Data Collection

You can revoke access to a data collection if you determine that the data consumer no longer requires access to the data. If you are the data owner of a data collection or the Data Marketplace administrator, you can request for a data collection to be revoked. The technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace can then revoke the data consumer's access to the data collection.
You must have one of the following user profiles to perform this task:
    1. Launch Data Marketplace and go to the Inventory tab.
    2. Go to the Access Inventory sub-tab to view the data collections for which consumers have requested access.
    3. Hover the mouse over the Ellipsis icon.
If you are the data owner, click Request Withdrawal.
If the data owner is also the technical owner for the data collection or the default technical owner for the Data Marketplace, click Withdraw Access.
The Request Withdrawal dialog box appears.
    4. In the Comments field, enter a comment about the revoke request.
    5. Click Request Withdrawal.
    6. If the access details of a data collections are in Pending Withdrawal status, click the Ellipsis icon.
If you are the data owner, click Cancel Withdrawal.
If you are a technical owner for the data collection, click Withdraw Access or Cancel Withdrawal.
    7. To cancel the access withdrawal request, click Cancel Withdrawal.
The Cancel Withdrawal dialog box appears.
    8. In the Comments field, enter a comment about the cancellation of access withdrawal request.
    9. Click Cancel Withdrawal.
If you are the technical owner for the data collection or the default technical owner for the data Marketplace, you can also view the Cancel Withdrawal option in the Withdraw sub-task of the Tasks section.
The Timeline section is updated with the message that access revocation is cancelled. The data owner can click the Request Withdraw option again.
The technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace can now withdraw the access to the data collection for the data consumer.
After the access withdraw request is placed, the technical owner of the data collection or the default technical owner of the Data Marketplace must perform the following steps:
  1. 1. Launch Data Marketplace and go to the Inventory tab.
  2. 2. Go to the Access Inventory sub-tab to view the data collections for which consumers have access.
  3. 3. Hover the mouse over Ellipsis and click Withdraw Access.
  4. The Withdraw Access dialog box appears.
  5. 4. In the Comments field, enter a comment about the access revocation.
  6. 5. Click Withdraw Access.
  7. The access revocation is complete, and the Delivery section of the Access Inventory page of the data collection is updated with the access revocation message.
