Approve or Reject a Data Access Request
When a data consumer requests access to a data collection, you can approve or reject the request.
To approve the request, you must have one of the following user profiles:
- •Data owner of the data collection
- •Data Marketplace administrator
- •Technical owner of the data collection
To reject the request, you must have one of the following user profiles:
- •Data owner of the data collection
- •Data Marketplace administrator
- •Default technical owner of the Data Marketplace
1. Launch Data Marketplace and go to the Tasks tab.
2. Click the Approve sub-tab to see the data collections that are waiting for your approval.
3. In the list of access requests, click Approve to approve the access request, or click Reject to reject the access request.
A dialog box appears, where you can enter details to approve or reject the request.
4. Enter the following details to approve or reject the request:

Add Comment | Enter a comment about the data delivery. |
External Ticket | Optional. Specify the ticket number to an external ticketing system that you can use to track the data delivery. |
5. Click the Approve or Reject button to complete the task.
6. In the list of access requests, you can click on an order to view the access request order.
The page displays the timeline, summary, and delivery details of the order.
7. In the Timeline section of the order details page, you can see the history of interactions for the access request. Click Add Comment to add a comment to the access request.
8. If you are a Data Marketplace Admin or data owner, mention data users by their names and request them to provide inputs on an order when the order is in pending status. To tag a data user, type @ and enter a user name or select a user name from the popup list.
For each stage of the order, you can request for a comment from a user. You cannot request for a comment from a user if the user has pending requests for the order.
9. Click Comment or Agree or Disagree.
An information panel appears to indicate the request for a comment or an agreement from the data user.
10. Click Save.
A notification is sent to all participants of the review request. A data user can add comments or vote to register their response. If you are a participant in the review request, you can view request for inputs in the
Order Inputs sub-tab of the
Tasks tab. The page displays the list of orders and associated request for inputs. If you are a data consumer and you are participant of the review request, click
to select
Agree or
Disagree button.
11. In the Timeline section of the order details page, click Approve to approve the access request, or click Reject to reject the access request.
The data access request is complete.
