Data Marketplace Overview
Axon Data Marketplace is the space where you can publish data collections for business use and find data collections that other users in your organization have published. If you are the owner of a data set in Axon, you can make the data available for others on a self-service basis from the Data Marketplace interface. Similarly, if you want to use the data published by other members in your organization, you can request for access to the data on a self-service basis.
In Axon Data Governance, you can add governance metadata so that your data is relevant, current, authenticated, authorized, reliable, and secure. Axon helps you determine the following governance characteristics of the data:
- •Relevance. The glossary tag, Axon Status field, and Lifecycle field of the data indicate whether the data is ready for use.
- •Timeliness. The history of the data objects indicates whether the data is up-to-date or old.
- •Authentication. The stakeholders associated with the data indicates the roles of the people that have created and maintained the data.
- •Authorization. The Axon Viewing field of the data indicates whether the right people have access to the data.
- •Reliability. The data quality scores of the data set attributes indicate the quality of the data.
- •Security. The Security Classification and CIA Rating fields indicate the security of the data.
Based on the common shopping cart experience, the self-service functions of the Data Marketplace provide autonomy to find and request access to data collections. Axon users that have the relevant permissions can use the data to make business decisions.
