Prepare Data Sets for Publishing

1. 1. Get the data sets ready. In Axon Data Governance, verify the attributes of the data set to make sure that the data consumers have useful data to make business decisions.
To create or modify a data set, see the Data Set Properties topic in the Create and Edit Objects chapter of the Axon Data Governance 7.2.1 User Guide.
2. 2. Create the relevant policies and usage guidelines. In Axon Data Governance, create the relevant policies and usage guidelines that apply to the data collection. To create a policy in Axon, see the Policy Properties topic in the Create and Edit Objects chapter of the Axon Data Governance 7.2.1 User Guide.
The policies are displayed in the checkout page when the data consumer requests access to a data collection. To mark a policy as a usage guideline, you must create an Axon Policy object that is of the EULA_Information or EULA_Confirmation type.
3. 3. Attach the policies to the data sets. In Axon Data Governance, link the Policy objects to the data set. In Axon Data Marketplace, the linked policies are automatically retrieved and displayed for the data collection.
You cannot link a Policy object directly to a Data Set object. You can instead link a Data Set object to a Glossary or System object, and link the System or Glossary object to the Policy object.

4. 4. Decide on the delivery options. Determine the delivery targets that you want to use to deliver the data collection. When you publish a data set, the data set appears in the Data Marketplace with the default delivery target. You must modify the delivery target so that data consumers who search for your data collection can see your preferred target.
