New Features in Version 5.0

Axon integrates with Enterprise Information Catalog to discover and retrieve data from the catalog platform. The catalog represents an indexed inventory of all the data assets in the enterprise. Enterprise Information Catalog organizes all the enterprise metadata in the catalog and enables the users of external applications to discover and understand the data.

Axon displays catalog data in its dashboards. You can use this catalog of enterprise data to implement data governance policies and practices. This integration allows better collaboration between functional users and technical users of data.

You can link the following properties in Axon and Enterprise Information Catalog:

When you link attributes in Axon to columns in Enterprise Information Catalog, Axon provides intelligent recommendations powered by CLAIRE, Informatica's Artificial Intelligence engine.

With integration of Axon and Enterprise Information Catalog, you can view business lineage of data in Axon and its corresponding technical lineage in Enterprise Information Catalog.

Axon integrates with Informatica Data Quality to retrieve quality scores and display them in the Axon dashboards in real time.

You can create rules in Axon and implement them in Informatica Data Quality. You can also link an existing rule in Informatica Data Quality with an existing rule in Axon. After you link Axon and Informatica Data Quality rules, Axon displays quality scores for data based on the rules and thresholds that you have defined.

You can add new rule types in Axon and modify existing rule types. The default Data Quality rule types in Axon are Completeness, Accuracy, Consistency, Validity, and Timeliness.

Axon has a scheduler that retrieves scores from Informatica Data Quality periodically.
