This section describes the changes to Axon in version 6.2.

System Requirements

Effective in version 6.2, the system where you plan to install Axon requires a minimum of 8 CPU cores. Previously, the system required 4 CPU cores.

Improved Search Results

Effective in version 6.2, Axon displays precise and improved search results when you search for non-English languages and characters. Axon provides matching results when you type partial words in non-English languages.
Previously, when you searched in non-English languages, you had to type complete words to view the matching results.

New Visual Style

Effective in version 6.2, the Axon interface displays a new visual style. The toolbar and interface elements display new colors and fonts to reflect a modern user interface theme.

View Enterprise Catalog Objects

Effective in version 6.2, the Enterprise Data Catalog objects include the following changes in Axon:

Performance Improvements

Effective in version 6.2, performance of Unison Search and bulk upload is significantly improved. Bulk Upload operations are faster by up to 50 percent, and Unison Search activities are faster by up to 30 percent.

Simplified Silent Installation

Effective in version 6.2, you can specify the option to install Axon, the Axon Agent, or both, in the Axon silent installer properties file. When you run the silentinstall.sh file, the installer installs Axon without any user intervention.
Previously, you had to select the option to install Axon, the Axon Agent, or both, in the Linux console after you had run the silentinstall.sh file.

Renamed Admin Panel Labels

Effective in version 6.2, some labels in the Axon Admin Panel have been renamed to represent their functions more appropriately.
