This section describes new Axon features in version 5.4.

API to Retrieve Glossary Objects and Linked Objects

Effective in version 5.4, the http(s)://<Axon_URL>/api/v1/queryreport/facets API can retrieve Glossary objects and their metadata. You can also retrieve the objects of facets that are linked to the Glossary facet.
For more information, see the Retrieve Facets and Linked Objects topic in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.4 REST API Guide.

Data Quality Rule

When you create or edit a data quality rule, you can select one of the following values in the Axon Status field:

To delete an object, the object must meet the following common conditions:
For more information, see the Administer chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.3 User Guide.

Glossary

Effective in version 5.4, the Glossary facet has the following additional functionality:
CIA Rating
You can provide the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) rating when you create a glossary. The CIA rating indicates the security assessment of a glossary. By default, each of the CIA elements is rated from 1 to 3. You can add a maximum of nine values to the CIA Rating list using the dropdown configuration in the Admin Panel. You can select a value for each element when you create a glossary either manually or use the bulk upload option.
Key Data Element
Use the KDE field to indicate whether a glossary is a key data element. You can add new key data element values in addition to the default values, True and False, as necessary. You can add new values to the Glossary KDE settings using the dropdown configuration in the Admin Panel.
Reference Identifiers
You can add unique reference identifiers to identify a glossary. If you do not provide a reference identifier, Axon automatically generates a reference identifier based on the settings in the Admin Panel. You can configure the Reference Number Settings parameter to specify the default reference identifier.
Alias Name
You can provide an alternate name for a glossary when you bulk upload or update Glossary objects. Use synonyms for the glossary that is commonly used in your organization.
You can view the CIA Rating, KDE, and Reference fields in the following areas in Axon:
For more information, see the Create and Administer chapters in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.4 User Guide.

Retrieve Users From LDAP Directory

Effective in version 5.4, you can connect Axon to the LDAP server in your organization to retrieve users. Axon creates People objects and Org Unit objects for the users that are retrieved from the LDAP directory. When the users log in, Axon authenticates the users against the LDAP directory.
For more information, see the Retrieve Users from LDAP Directory to Axon topic in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.4 Installation Guide.

Support for New Linux Distributions

Effective in version 5.4, you can install Axon on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP2, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3, or CentOS Linux version 7.5.
For more information, see the System Requirements topic in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.4 Installation Guide.

View Logs in the Admin Panel

Effective in version 5.4, you can view the content of the Axon log files in the Admin Panel. The log files record the status of operations when you create objects, modify existing objects, or perform tasks that use the application services and microservices. You can enter specific search criteria to filter the content of the log files.
For more information, see the View Logs and Enable or Disable Viewing of Logs topics in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.4 Administrator Guide.
