New Features in Version 6.3
This section describes new Axon features in version 6.3.
Axon Data Marketplace
Effective in version 6.3, you can use the Axon Data Marketplace, where you can search and access data collections to make business decisions. Axon Data Governance users in your organization can publish curated data sets to the Data Marketplace. Other users can find the data and request access to it on a self-service basis.
Using the Data Marketplace, data owners can publish data that is relevant, current, authorized, reliable and secure. Similar to an e-commerce portal, Data Consumers in your organization can search for data assets using business-friendly search terms. When they find the data that they need, they can place an order to access the data. Technical Owners deliver the data to the Data Consumers.
For more information, see the Using the Data Marketplace chapter in the Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Recommendation and Automatic Creation of Data Quality Rules
Effective in version 6.3, Axon uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities powered by Informatica CLAIRE® to recommend and create data quality rules that can be run on data set attributes. When you define a business rule in conversational language for a Glossary object, Axon can intelligently recommend a rule that might be run on the data sets. If you agree to the recommendation, Axon can create the rule in Informatica Data Quality so that you can run the rule.
For more information see the Automatically Create a Rule in Informatica Data Quality topic in the Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Bulk Delete Roles
Effective in version 6.3, you can bulk delete roles that are associated with objects. From the Role facet on Unison search, you can select the roles and choose to delete the roles in bulk.
For more information, see the Create and Edit chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Bulk Upload Templates
Effective in version 6.3, the bulk upload templates include the following enhancements:
- New Line Support
- In the bulk upload and bulk update templates, you can enter text in a new line in descriptive columns, such as Description, Additional Info, and Legal Advice, for better readability of the content. After you bulk upload data, you can see that the new lines entered as part of the descriptive text fields are retained in the object summary.
- Reference Identifier
- You can enter an optional reference identifier for an object in the <Object> Ref. column to uniquely identify the object. If there is an <Object> Ref. column in a template, you can see that the <Object> Name column has become optional.
- You can view the reference identifier in the following templates:
- - In the Object templates, such as Data Set, Attribute, and People. For example, in the Data Set template, you can fill in the Glossary Ref. or Glossary Name column.
- - In the Role templates, such as Glossary Role, Capability Role, and Data Set Role. For example, in the Capability Role template, you can fill in the Capability Ref. or Capability Name column.
- - In the Relationship templates, such as Business Area X Process, Capability X Glossary, and Data Set X Client. For example, in the Capability X Glossary template, you can fill in the Glossary Ref. or Glossary Name and Capability Ref. or Capability Name column.
- Parent Ref.
- You can enter reference identifiers for parent objects in the Object templates, such as Capability, Committee, and Policy, to uniquely identify objects. The Parent Ref. column is optional.
- Password Validation
- When you bulk upload People objects, Axon performs a validation check on the password. The password must be at least eight characters long and contain at least one lowercase character, one uppercase character, one numeric digit, and one special character.
- Worksheet Name
- After you download a template, you can view that the worksheet name is provided for the template for ease of use and reference. The worksheet name format for the template that you want to bulk upload is Create <Template Name>. For example, if you want to upload the System X Client template, the worksheet name is Create System X Client. The worksheet name format for the template that you want to bulk update is Update <Template Name>. For example, if you want to update the Glossary object, the worksheet name is Update Glossary.
- Glossary Alias Names
- You can add a single or multiple alias names when you bulk update the Glossary object template.
Download the latest templates to view all the updates.
For more information, see the Bulk Upload Data chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
New Relationships for Policy
Effective in version 6.3, you can create the following direct relationships for Policy objects:
- •Policy to Attribute
- •Policy to Data Set
- •Policy to Legal Entity
To add these relationships, you can either use the bulk upload templates or connect the objects from the Impact tab of a Policy object. You can connect a policy to geography via legal entity.
For more information, see the Create and Edit and Bulk Upload Data chapters in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
View Active Tasks
Effective in version 6.3, you can view the active tasks that are defined within the workflow of a change request.
Once a task starts, it appears under the Active Tasks facet and you can view the outstanding workflow tasks. After the task is complete, it disappears from the Active Tasks facet.
You can search for active tasks that are associated with objects or individuals. Add the active task searches as widgets to a dashboard to monitor the outstanding tasks.
For more information, see the Create and Edit chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Admin Activity Logs
Effective in version 6.3, you can view all the actions that an Admin or SuperAdmin user performs on the Admin Panel. You must be an Admin or SuperAdmin user to view the activity logs.
Axon generates activity logs for an Admin or SuperAdmin user and displays the logs on the Admin Activity Logs page. You can also view the logs when a SuperAdmin user deletes a single object from the object page or bulk deletes objects from the Unison search. You can export the logs to a CSV format.
For more information, see the Monitoring Axon chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 Administrator Guide.
Support for Google BigQuery Sources for Profiles and Scorecards
Effective in version 6.3, you can associate a local data quality rule with a profile or scorecard in Informatica Data Quality on a Google BigQuery source.
You can associate the values of profiles and scorecards in Informatica Data Quality on Google BigQuery sources to local data quality rules in Axon.
For more information, see the Create and Edit chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Removal of Stakeholders During Delete
Effective in version 6.3, Axon removes stakeholders linked to an object when you delete an object.
If you delete an object that has stakeholders linked to it, Axon removes the stakeholders and then deletes the object. You do not need to manually remove the stakeholders before you delete the object.
For more information, see the Create and Edit chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.
Change Request for Committee
Effective in version 6.3, you can raise a change request for a Committee object.
For more information, see the Create and Edit chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 6.3 User Guide.

- •Glossary
- •System
- •Data Sets
- •Attributes

You can enter parameters in JSON format and perform the following tasks using APIs:
- •Create an object
- •Update an object
- •Create multiple objects
- •Update multiple objects
- •Create a relationship between objects

For more information, see the Create, Update, and Delete Objects and Relationships chapter in the Axon Data Governance 6.3 REST API Guide.
Refresh Token for API Authentication
Effective in version 6.3, you can use a refresh token to generate access tokens for API calls. You can use the Axon interface to generate a refresh token, and then use an API URL to generate an access token from the refresh token.
For more information, see the Authentication topic in the Axon Data Governance 6.3 REST API Guide.
