This section describes new Axon features in version 7.2.

Cross-Segment Relationships

Effective in version 7.2, you can connect an object from the Enterprise segment to an object in a private segment. For a parent-child relationship in Axon, the entire hierarchy must be part of the same segment. If an object belongs to a segment, you can change the segment when you edit the object. You can either manually connect the objects from the Axon interface or use bulk upload templates.

Usage Statistics

Effective in version 7.2, you can access reports on Axon usage statistics, such as resolved change requests, top change request creators, and user login activity. For example, a data governance officer can monitor Axon performance by viewing the number of users logged in to Axon and the number of change requests that are resolved every day. You can use external visualization applications, such as Tableau, Power BI, and ClickView, to view the usage reports.

Standard Data Quality Rule Enhancements

Effective in version 7.2, you can associate more than one glossary with the standard data quality rule when you configure Technical Rule Reference field.

Axon with Enterprise Data Catalog

Effective in version 7.2, the Axon and Enterprise Data Catalog integration includes the following enhancements:
Automatic Change Requests for Systems, Data Sets, and Attributes
You can configure default change requests for System and Data Set facets in the Admin Panel. Axon triggers automatic change requests in the following scenarios:
Support for Additional Resources and Physical Fields
You can view the Workday resource type and the Property field from Enterprise Data Catalog.

Data Quality Rule Bulk Upload Enhancements

Standard Data Quality Rule X Technical Rule Reference Relationship
You can use a bulk upload template to upload relationships between standard data quality rules and technical rule references.
Local Data Quality Rule X Technical Rule Reference Relationship
You can use a bulk upload template to upload relationships between local data quality rules and technical rule references. You can also assign or delete profiles and scorecards for data quality rules through bulk upload template.

Run Data Quality Rule on S3 CSV Files

Effective in version 7.2, you can run data quality rules on S3 CSV files stored in Amazon S3 resource in Enterprise Data Catalog for Informatica Data Quality version 10.4.x, 10.4.1.x, and 10.5.

Data Marketplace Features and Enhancements

Effective in version 7.2, the Data Marketplace includes the following enhancements:
View Categories and Subcategories
In the Home page, you can view categories in which data collections are arranged in your organization. The Category page displays the details of the category and the associated subcategories. The left pane of the page displays all the categories in a tree view.
Sample Files
In the Attachments section of a data collection, a data user can view and download sample data files to understand the data collection.
Manage Data Sets
You can add and remove data sets to a data collection. You can also the data sets in Axon Data Governance.
Participants Details in the Task page
When a data owner, technical owner, or Data Marketplace administrator is assigned to a order, you can view participant details in the Task page.
Add Policies and Usage Guideline to Data Collection
The data owner can add policies to data collections. When a data consumer requests access to data sets, the checkout page displays the attached policies and usage guide. The data consumer must agree to the policies before completing the access order.
Request Comments on the Order Page
If you are a data owner, you can mention data users by their names and request them to provide inputs on an order.
View Pending Request in the Access Section
When you request access to a new data collection, you can see your pending request in the Access section of a similar data collection. After the data owner publishes the new data collection, you can find the data collection in the Search page.
Bulk Upload of Data Collections
An Axon SuperAdmin or the Data Marketplace Administrator can bulk upload data collections from Axon Data Governance to the Data Marketplace.
Filter Data Collections and Attributes
You can create and use filters to search data collections and attributes according to your requirements.

Dashboard Widgets for Additional Fields

Effective in version 7.2, you can add custom field widgets of dropdown and binary values in the My Dashboard page.
You can also add Out of the Box boolean fields in the Group by field.

View Data Usage in Unison Search

Effective in version 7.2, you can view the usage details for a data set in Unison search.

View Predefined List of Users for Stakeholder Roles

Effective in version 7.2, you can assign stakeholders to an object by selecting from a predefined list of users.
To configure role assignments, assign users to each role for a facet. The roles vary based on the selected facet. For example, if you select the Data Set facet, you can assign users to Data Steward and Data Owner roles. You must assign at least one user to a role.

Grid Layout Settings in Unison Search

Effective in version 7.2, you can choose to save the grid-level settings, such as additional columns and column size, for a facet.
You can choose to perform the following actions from the Unison search grid:
Save Default Layout
Configure and save the default grid layout preferences for a facet for all users. You must be a SuperAdmin user to view and configure this setting.
Save Layout
Save your preferences for the grid layout for a facet.
Reset Layout
Reset your grid layout preferences for a facet to the default settings.

Axon Kubernetes Utility

Effective in version 7.2, you can run the Docker image to deploy Axon pods on-premise in the Kubernetes environment.
The Axon Deployment Manager provides quick and easy access to install and configure Docker for Axon in the Kubernetes environment. You can also manage an existing deployment of Axon Data Governance in Kubernetes using Axon Deployment Manager.

Value List API

Effective in version 7.2, you can use APIs to view, create, update, and delete value lists for data set attributes.

Export to Excel in Unison Search

Effective in version 7.2, you can export Unison search results to the Microsoft Excel file format.

Default Stakeholder Assignment to Users that Bulk Upload Data

Effective in version 7.2, when you bulk upload new objects, Axon assigns you as the default stakeholder for the objects. If you have configured default roles for a facet in the Admin Panel, Axon assigns the default roles to the user that bulk uploads data.

Support Office 365 and SendGrid to Deliver Email Notifications

Effective in version 7.2, you can configure email encryption mode based on the email protocol. For example, if you use SendGrid or Office 365, configure mailer encryption to "ssl" or "tls" if you choose to use the SMTP email protocol.

Restrict IDP Users to Create or Update Users in Axon via SSO

Effective in version 7.2, you can restrict Identity Provider (IDP) users to create and update users in Axon via SSO. Disable the Create and Update Users option from the Admin Panel to restrict IDP users to create or update users in Axon.
