MySQL Connections Overview
MySQL connections enable you to connect to a MySQL database. When you create a source connection to MySQL, you can create an alias name to a table and column or view the table from the database. When you create a target connection to a database, you can create a connection to a database table.
You can use MySQL connections in Contact Validation, Data Replication, Data Synchronization, PowerCenter, and Mapping Configuration tasks. You can also use MySQL connections in mappings.
