Rules and Guidelines for Using Mapplets in Tasks

• •You can use one mapplet in each Data Synchronization task.
• •You can use multiple mapplets in Mapping Configuration tasks.
• •You can add expressions and lookups between the source and a mapplet.
• •You can add expressions between a mapplet and the target.
• •When you add a mapplet to a Data Synchronization task, the Data Synchronization Task wizard removes existing field mappings, except when you add a passive mapplet between the source and target.
• •When you use an active mapplet with a Data Synchronization task that includes a saved query, the Data Synchronization task ignores the configured target option for the task and tries to insert data to the target.
• •You can click the Edit Mapplet button on the Field Mapping page of the Data Synchronization Task wizard to edit the connection.
