Tableau Connector
After You Upgrade
Tableau Connector is supported only on Windows 64 and Linux 64 operating systems. If you had installed Tableau Connector on Windows 32 operating system, you must install Tableau Connector on Windows 64 or Linux 64 operating system after the upgrade.
If you had configured Tableau connections, Data Synchronization tasks, and Mapping Configuration tasks in the previous release, you must edit the Tableau connection to use the Windows 64 or Linux 64 environment. You must also change the extract file path in the Tableau advanced target properties where you save the Tableau data extract or Tableau packaged workbook file to a Windows 64 or Linux 64 machine. If you do not use Windows 64 or Linux 64 after the upgrade, existing Mapping Configuration tasks and Data Synchronization tasks that contain Tableau as the target will fail.

Tableau Connector Known Limitations
The following table describes known limitations:
CR | Description |
---|
INFA 423080 | When you configure a field lookup in a Data Synchronization task, the Tableau connection appears in the lookup connection list even though Tableau V2 Connector does not support the read operation. An error appears when you select the Tableau connection. |
INFA 422699 | When you use Tableau V2 Connector and run a Data Synchronization task that contains a mapping with incompatible data types, the task fails with an incorrect error message. |
CON-4785 | If the Tableau Data Extract (TDE) file is not available in the specified Template File Path property of the Tableau connection properties, you cannot configure the Create Target option in a task. Workaround: Ensure that a sample TDE file is available in the template file path specified in the connection. |
