Salesforce Connection Overview
Use a Salesforce connection to access objects in a Salesforce application.
You can use Salesforce connections in Data Synchronization , Contact Validation, Data Assessment, Data Masking, PowerCenter, Data Replication, and Mapping Configuration tasks. Create a connection to import Salesforce metadata to create data objects, preview data, and run tasks. When you create a Salesforce connection, specify the user name, password, and security token for the Salesforce account. You can also append the Salesforce security token to the password to connect to the Salesforce account.
By default, Salesforce connections for the existing organizations use version 31 of the Salesforce API and Salesforce connections for the new organizations use version 39 of the Salesforce API. You can edit the existing Salesforce connections or create new connections to use version 39, version 38, version 37, version 36, version 35, version 34, version 33, or version 31 of the Salesforce API.
