Step 2. Publish the Integration Template
Publish an integration template when you are ready to use the integration template in Informatica Cloud.
When you publish an integration template, the Cloud Integration Template Designer creates an integration template XML file that you can import to Informatica Cloud.
Before you publish an integration template, you can perform the following optional tasks:
- •Validate the template. You can use the Validate Mapping Template icon on the Informatica toolbar to perform basic validation.
- •Create an image file. You can save the template as .JPG or .PNG to create an image file. You can use the image file to represent the template data flow when you import the integration template to your organization.
To publish an integration template:
1. On the Informatica toolbar, click the Publish icon.
2. Navigate to the directory you want to use, and click Save.
The Cloud Integration Template Designer generates an integration template XML file in the directory that you select. The integration template XML file uses the following naming convention:
<integration template name>.XML
When you publish an integration template, the Cloud Integration Template Designer also creates a parameter file name <integration template name>_param.XML. This file contains information related to user-defined parameters. Unless you want to use this file as a basis for a user-defined parameter file, you do not need to use this file.
