Downloading a Sample Mapplet
If you use PowerCenter or PowerCenter Express, you can download a pre-built mapplet for a Data Quality service. You can insert the mapplet into an existing mapping to perform Data Quality operations on the data.
The sample mapplet contains an Input transformation, Web Service Consumer transformation, and an Output transformation.
The following figure shows an example mapplet with a Web Service Consumer transformation that consumes a Data Quality web service for credit card validation:
The Input transformation contains the fields required for the web service request. The Web Service Consumer transformation connects to the Data Quality service using an endpoint URL. It passes a request message to the service and it receives the response message. The Output transformation receives the fields from the web service response.
To download the mapplet, click Download Data Quality Mapping in the Actions column for the service that you want to run. The .zip file contains mapplets for PowerCenter and PowerCenter Express.
