Run a Contact Validation Task
You can run a Contact Validation task in the following ways:
Running a Contact Validation Task Manually
Run a Contact Validation task manually to immediately start the Contact Validation task. You might want to run a Contact Validation task manually for the following reasons:
- •To verify that the Contact Validation task is configured properly.
- •To load data into the target occasionally. You may not need to update the target on regular intervals.
When you start a Contact Validation task manually, the activity monitor displays details about the task.
1. Click Task Wizards > Contact Validation.
2. On the Contact Validation Tasks page, click the Run Now icon for the Contact Validation task that you want to run.
Running a Contact Validation Task on a Schedule
Use a schedule to write data at a specified time or on regular intervals. Edit a Contact Validation task to change the schedule associated with it.
1. To associate a schedule with a new Contact Validation task, click Task Wizards > Contact Validation > New, complete the preliminary wizard steps, and then click Schedule.
To associate a schedule with an existing Contact Validation task, click Task Wizards > Contact Validation, click the name of the Contact Validation task, click Edit, and then click Schedule.
2. Select a schedule in the Schedule area, or click New to create a schedule.
