Using parameters in Access Policy transformations

You can use parameters as a placeholder for a value or values in an Access Policy transformation. You define the value of the parameter when you configure the mapping task.
Use the following types of IDs when using parameters in an Access Policy transformation:
    1Click the Access Policy tab in an Access Policy transformation.
    Alternatively, open the Parameters panel.
    For more information about the Parameters panel, see Input Parameters.
    2Click New Parameter.
    The New Input Parameter window appears.
    The following image shows the New Input Parameter window:
    The window includes fields for Name, Display Label, Description, Type, and Default Value.
    3Enter a name for the parameter.
    4Optionally enter a display label.
    5Optionally enter a description.
    6Optionally enter a default value for the parameter.
    7Click OK.
    The parameter name appears in the property selection. When you configure the mapping task, you define the parameter value to use at run time.
