Overview of deployment

Deploying an elastic runtime environment involves completing a number of tasks.
The following is an overview of the key tasks involved in the deployment process:
  1. 1Ensure that you've met the prerequisites before you begin. For more information, see Verify prerequisites.
  2. 2Set up the AWS environment. For more information, see Setting up the AWS environment.
  3. 3Create an EFS file system to store flat files. For more information, see Creating EFS file systems.
  4. 4Create your elastic runtime environment and complete the deployment steps. For more information, see Deploying an elastic runtime environment.
When the entire deployment process is complete, you can use the elastic runtime environment in mappings or tasks.

Deploying in a sub-organization

Although you can't share an elastic runtime environment created in a parent organization with a sub-organization, you can create elastic runtime environments directly in a sub-organization.
To do this, log in directly to the sub-organization as a administrator first. You can't switch to a sub-organization from the user interface.
