Starting Enterprise Data Catalog Agent
You must start the Enterprise Data Catalog Agent to extract metadata from data sources that run on Microsoft Windows.
1. Download the EDC_Agent_<version>_Windows.zip binary file.
2. Extract the binary files to a directory.
3. Change the connector port number in the <Installation_Directory>\tomcat\conf\tomcat.properties file. Default is 19980. If port 19980 is used by another application, you need to change the port number in the tomcat.properties file. For example, you can set the connector port to 19981 and shutdown port to 19982.
4. To start the Enterprise Data Catalog Agent, double click the startup.bat file. This file is in the <Installation_Directory>\tomcat\bin folder.
