Applying Restrictions on a Resource
As a catalog administrator, you can control the operations performed on a resource by restricting a resource. By default, all the resources are unrestricted.
1. Click Manage > Security.
The Security tab page opens with the Users and Groups option selected in the View section.
2. Select Resources from the View section.
The list of resources configured in Enterprise Data Catalog appears.
3. To apply restrictions on a resource, click the Actions menu, and choose Restrict.
The resource status changes to This is a restricted resource.
Note: Users or user groups with read, scan, and write configuration permissions on a resource can unrestrict a resource.
