Assigning Configuration Permissions to Resources

As a catalog administrator, you can assign configuration permissions to resources to control the operations performed on a resource.
You can assign the following configuration permissions to resources:
Read
The user or users included in the user group can view the details of the resource, associated jobs, connections and data permissions in Catalog Administrator.
Read and Scan
The user or users included in the user group can view the details of the resource, associated jobs, connections and data permissions, run the metadata scan, and perform rollback and purge operations on the resource.
Read, Scan, and Write
The user or users included in the user group can view the details of the resource, associated jobs, connections and data permissions, run the metadata scan, edit the resource, delete the resource, assign or remove connections, update data permissions, and perform rollback and purge operations on the resource.
No Access
The user or users included in the user group cannot access the resource.
Note: The user or users included in the user group must have Read, or Read, Scan, and Write configuration permissions on both resources participating in the connection to view, assign, or remove connections.
