Custom Resource Type Overview

Custom resource type represents the resource type that you want to create based on the custom model that you defined.
In a custom resource type, you define the models that you want to associate with the custom resource type. In addition, you also specify the associations in the selected models that you want to associate with the custom resource type.
After creating a custom resource type, you can create a custom resource based on the custom resource type.

Custom ETL Resources

To view the transformation logic between multiple data sources in the lineage diagram, you can create and configure a custom ETL resource.
You can configure the custom resource to view the detailed lineage or the summary lineage. For example, you have data from an Oracle table that is transformed in Informatica PowerCenter before being loaded to another Oracle database. For this scenario, you can configure a custom PowerCenter ETL resource to capture the data transformation details in the lineage diagram.
You can use the system model, com.infa.ldm.etlcore in Enterprise Data Catalog to create a custom model for the ETL resource.
