The utilities help you to back up the catalog and collect the required log files to analyze and troubleshoot issues that you might encounter when you use Enterprise Data Catalog.
Catalog Backup
You can backup the catalog data if you want to troubleshoot issues based on the data in the catalog without stopping the Catalog Service.
Service Logs
The logs for the Enterprise Data Catalog services (Catalog Service, Informatica Cluster Service, EBF history, and PhoneHome), MongoDB, Apache Solr, Nomad service and scan jobs, Apache ZooKeeper (ZK), and PostgreSQL help you analyze and troubleshoot issues related to metadata ingestion in the catalog, issues related to search, or issues related to service failures and stability.
Resource Logs
Resource logs help you troubleshoot issues related to failure of specific resources.
