Qlik Sense
Qlik Sense is a business intelligence and visual analytics platform that supports a range of use cases including centrally deployed analytic applications, dashboards, custom, and embedded analytics within a scalable framework.
Objects Extracted
The Qlik Sense resource extracts metadata from the following assets in a Qlik Sense data source:
- •Applications
- •Sheets
- •Stories
- •Measures
- •Dimensions
- •Charts
- •Fields
- •Tables (staging data table)
Prerequisites
Add the machine details of the Qlik Sense host to the /etc/hosts file in the domain machine and the cluster machine where the Catalog Service is running.
You must install the Enterprise Data Catalog Agent to extract metadata from Qlik Sense running on Microsoft Windows.
Permissions to Configure the Resource
Assign the RootAdmin role to the Qlik Sense user to access all the assets in the Qlik Sense resource.
Basic Information
The General tab includes the following basic information about the resource:
Information | Description |
---|
Name | The name of the resource. |
Description | The description of the resource. |
Resource type | The type of the resource. |
Execute On | You can choose to execute on the default catalog server or offline. |
Resource Connection Properties
The General tab includes the following properties:
Property | Description |
---|
Agent URL | URL of the external MITI agent. Note: To extract metadata from the Qlik Sense data source, you must install the Enterprise Data Catalog Agent on the Qlik Sense server. |
Engine API URL | URL of the Qlik API Engine. |
User | User name of the administrator to connect to the Qlik Sense server. |
User Directory | User directory of the Qlik Sense server. |
